Equities Grind Out Small Gain as Euro Rises on IFO

Stocks spent most of the day in a range, but the S&P 500 futures were still able to grind out a small gain on the day. The market was boosted by a stronger than expected reading from the German IFO. This sent the Euro higher against the dollar:
